IreneHeadshot Irene Stevens
OWNER + PILATES INSTRUCTOR

Irene started Pilates in her late 40’s to repair a shoulder injury. It so profoundly changed her life that she continued her Pilates education and prepared to share it with others. Irene was trained as a student and teacher by Joseph Tatta of Premier Physical Therapy in New York in the classic Pilates Method and has been teaching since 2001. She spent 30 years in the financial markets and banking industry before moving to Portland in 2006. The happy combination of Pilates and business knowledge gave rise to Spring.

NinaHeadshot Lisa Fenn
pilates instructor

Lisa came to Pilates as a young athlete searching for a workout that would keep her at peak performance and prevent injuries, while she was having fun and staying in good shape. She discovered a profound affinity for the Pilates Method and, after several years of practice, decided that she wanted to share Pilates with others. After receiving certification in the Classical Pilates Method in 2006, Lisa has worked extensively at a number of studios in Los Angeles and Portland. Lisa has also been consistently involved in the traditional fine arts pursuing her own creative activities and teaching others.

NinaHeadshot Erin Scuglia
PILATES INSTRUCTOR

Erin Scuglia is an internationally-certified Pilates instructor, holding diplomas from Balanced Body University in the US and from A-Lyne Centre de Formation in Paris, France. Erin first saw how life changing Pilates could be after an injury in 1999, and later after the birth of her second daughter in 2006. She knew then that she had to become a teacher. Erin is an avid runner and cyclist and therefore enjoys working with clients who have an athletic bent in a specific sport. She has seen equally dramatic results while working with clients who are fragile, injured or inactive. Erin continues her studies in anatomy, rehabilitation, and other modalities that complement her Pilates teaching.
